October 1, 2006 - Studio Construction Update!!! On Sept. 23rd, we had a major construction day. A lot
was accomplished & we even had fun doing it! BIG thanks to everyone that participated,
not just for their awesome construction assistance, but also for their generous financial
contribution to the project this weekend:
- Ken & Rhonda Young - donated the materials needed to complete the outside
wall we thought would never happen.
- John Schultheis - donated the insulation,
- Gene Thompson, GM at Chico Insulation, made it affordable for John to donate
the insulation!
- Frank "Awesome Austin", Chico Insulation, who is installing the insulation
Tim Baltiera, "The MAN" at Chico Drywall, who not only paid for the sheet
rock himself, but "brokered" the contributions from the other dry wall
companies!
- Marc Dornbusch - donated all the electrical work, and is working on getting
us flooring!
- Bob Tolar, Tolar AVL - pre-wired all the audio-related audio & network
cabling
Be sure to check the pics below to see what it's looking like so far! The best is
yet to come!!! Sept. 29th, Frank from Chico Insulation is donating his time to complete
all the insulation installation. Then the next day, John is going to come in & complete
installation of the sound board in the control areas before Jimmy and his team from
Feather River Drywall come in to donate their expertise in completing the sheetrock
installation.
Now...the best news yet - I was contacted by Terry from Hardesty & Sons., (another drywall
company), and they have offered to complete ALL THE TAPING & TEXTURING!!!! Whoo Hoo!
They are going to start on it Tuesday, Oct. 3rd., & will be done in a week! This means
conceivably means we could be "finaled" before the end of October! All we need to do is
complete the installation of the lighting doors, & windows & we'll be set!
